Another idea: One stop shopping for pre-holiday specialty sales. Valentines’ Day for instance. Several vendors could be on hand to sell/ take orders/ sell gift certificates for flowers, chocolate, dinner for two, massage, day at the spa. You get the idea.

Many non-profits hold auctions in conjunction with annual fund raising events. They’re getting smart about using services like Auction Frog to expand the audience and time period. Hi, Matthew – I am on the board of Friends in Action, a non-profit that matches trained volunteers with seniors in our community to help those seniors remain independent. Volunteers provide friendship, help with shopping, driving and so forth. It’s an incredible organization.
